ShortRemix waitlist privacy notice

1. Who we are

ShortRemix ("we", "us") operates the waitlist and early-access programme at shortremix.com. For privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. What we collect

When you submit the waitlist form we collect: email address, role, niche or client category, monthly short-form output volume, plan interest, the workflow bottleneck you describe, your consent acknowledgement, the page you submitted from, and any UTM parameters in the URL. Technical metadata (IP address, user-agent) may be processed transiently for spam protection but is not stored beyond rate-limit windows.

3. Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6)

We process your data on two legal bases:

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for marketing emails about early access, product updates, and beta research. Consent is given by ticking the marketing checkbox on the form and confirming your email via the verification link we send. You may withdraw it at any time.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))— for aggregate counts (e.g., "120+ joined") that help prospective users gauge social proof. These counts are rounded down and never identify individuals.

4. How we use your data

• Manage the waitlist and prioritise early-access invites by role/plan/volume
• Send the verification email and (with consent) early-access launch announcements
• Understand demand for the Creator / Pro / Agency tiers before launch
• Detect and block spam, automated abuse, and duplicate submissions

5. Who processes your data on our behalf

• Resend (US) — transactional and broadcast email delivery. Resend acts as a processor under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
• DigitalOcean (EU/US) — application hosting and Postgres database.
• Umami (cookieless analytics) — aggregate page-view counts. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no IP storage.

We do not sell waitlist data and we do not share it with third parties beyond the processors listed above.

6. Retention

Waitlist records are retained for up to 24 months after submission, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. After this window unverified leads are purged automatically. Once you become an active customer, the relevant contact information moves under our customer privacy notice.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR and equivalent laws you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Withdraw consent — every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and the verification email contains a one-click delete link
• Port your data to another provider
• Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Hungary, NAIH; otherwise your local DPA

8. Cookies

The waitlist site does not set tracking cookies. Our analytics provider is cookieless. The only browser storage we may use is technical (e.g., theme preference) and exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email to consenting subscribers. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
